BOOK-A-BREAKFAST:
Children are encouraged to come to school for breakfast and read. Two or three of these events are held during the school year. Contact Anamika Krishna-Rogers.

CHESS CLUB:
We are working on starting a Chess Club for this year. The program will be for students in grades 2-5. If you are interested in having your child participate, please contact Samuel Bisbey.

DANCE CLUB:
The dance Club is an after school program for Cold Spring Students. The children learn multi cultural dances and will have the opportunity to perform in the biannual International Fair Performance. This program is offered for grades K-2. The session runs from January to March.

DESTINATION IMAGINATION:
DI is a creative problem solving program where children use their intuition, creativity and out of the box thinking to solve challenges (what can you make with marshmallows & toothpicks or newspaper & tape?). Children learn working in teams and have fun learning from each other. The program starts in the Fall with sessions every week and the final tournament in March. The program is led by a parent/family volunteer for the duration. No fee is required. Registrations are paid by the PTA. More details on: www.marylanddi.org. PTA contact: Jyoti Bisbey.

FLES (Foreign Language in Elementary Schools):
This morning program provides before-school classes in French and Spanish for students in grades one through five. Contact Marlon Bernal.

GROUP PIANO:
This program offers piano instruction in a group setting for students in grades two through five. Classes are after school. Contact Duffy Kean.

IMAGINATION STAGE:
Imagination Stage is a children’s theatre offering performing arts, drama and acting classes after school. If you are interested in having your child participate, please contact Jeanne Shaheen.

MAD SCIENCE/HANDS ON SCIENCE:
This Fall we will partner with Mad Science (www.madscience.org) for a science enrichment after school program. Children will be divided in age appropriate groups. More details can be found on its website. PTA contact: Jyoti Bisbey.
